Prototype Information / Oil Transloading in Montrose 1929
« on: September 17, 2014, 11:06:41 PM »
All: Just when I thought it was safe to wrap up the master plan for the layout..............Just received a copy of Sloan's Century + 10, etc. AND opened another can of worms. Basically oil was transferred at Montrose during the fall of 1929 until the Salida facility was opened in November. Any information as to what it looked like and where was it located in Montrose? Thanks, Paul.

All: I really need a copy or access to a Third Division Employee Timetable from 1929. The 14th. Subdivision from Gunnison to Montrose and the Ouray branch are what I specifically need. I have been in contact with Colorado Railroad Museum and Denver Public Library but they do not have any. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Paul.

All: Could someone let me know what colors the shades were in the coaches and chair/parlor cars in 1929? Also did the toilets have shades, color again, or frosted glass. Thanks, Paul.
