Layouts And Layout Construction And Design / Re: Layout progress

Hi Bob,

Would be very interested to know more about what you are working on.
Please upload some photos to (or any otehr hosting site) and share them with us

Why not upload them right here?

After not being able to upload photos to this forum on 8-8-13 and the problem being "fixed", I was still unable to upload photos.  I gave up.  If you want to increase traffic on the site, this problem should be addressed.

Do you plan on a layout spot for this or just a diorama.
It has been install on my layout.  After acquiring two of the Blackstone tank cars, I was forced to build and install it :)

Here is a photo of a recent project of mine.  The oil storage tank is a Plastruct kit, the office building is a B.T.S kit, and the truck is a Jordan Products kit.  The truck terminal is scratch build.  The piping and pump/motor set are Plastruct parts.

I am not able to upload a jpg as an attachment.  The jpg is 174.2 KB in size.  I select the jpg by using the "Browse" button under "Attachment and other options".  Is this correct way to attach a jpg?

HOn3 General Discussion Forum / Re: Micro Trains Coupler Replacement?
« on: April 26, 2012, 08:41:46 AM »

Since the couplers on my micro-trains cars do not mate well with Kadee #714, I have replaced them all with Kadee #714.  On the micro-trains cars with pins attaching the coupler, I pry the pin out with a screw driver and use the pin to mount the new coupler.

To install the grab irons, I hold the grab iron securely with small needle nose pliers and press the attachment pin into the hole with a small flat blade screw driver.

I was going to ask this as a stand alone topic but are #4 turnouts too tight for say the blackstone K-27's?

I have 2 of the Blackstone K-27's.  I don't have any trouble running them on #4 turnouts in my yard areas.
