Greetings From Canmore AB.
« on: April 30, 2013, 08:41:41 PM »
I'm brand new to model railroading. Rather, I'm returning after 50 yrs. hiatus . As a kid, I ran a 4x8 HO layout that barely got off the ground. :-[
However after going to Supertrain in Calgary two weeks ago, I've got the bug.
I live in Canmore AB which until 1979, was a coal mining town. There was a narrow gauge mine railway here adjacent to the CP mainline. Which brings me to joining this site. I'll ask rookie questions which I hope you will put up with.

Welcome Hugh, it's good to have you. There's all kinds of resources available for someone just getting in the hobby, or back in, in your case. It's a great time to be a model railroader.
